Ash Wednesday Services, Feb. 22nd at 7 AM, Noon and 5 PM
Ash Wednesday is a day of atonement, fasting, and penitence that marks the beginning of the holy season of Lent which is a time of preparation for Easter. The name derives from the traditional rite where the sign of the cross is made on the foreheads of worshippers during a special service.
We will have three Ash Wednesday Services on Wednesday, February 22nd: 7 AM (imposition of ashes only), and Noon and 5 PM with imposition of ashes and Communion.
We hope you will consider attending one of these services as we begin the most holy season of Lent.
If you have palms from last year you may bring them to the church by Sunday, February 19th, so they may be burned to make the ashes for this most blessed day.
